Todd's Big List of Quinessential Spooky Halloween Movies!
Season's screamings, one and all! If you're a purist, like me, you don't like when bookstores mix the sci fi with the fantasy. I'm the same way with my scary movies. We all love a good slasher flick now and then, but serial killers just aren't Halloween. Ghosts are the essense of All Hallow's Eve, and other supernatural beasties follow. So for the best in creaky doors and chilly Autumn nights, check out this list of quintessential films to put you in the fright state of mind.

PS - Just as Hannibal Lechter isn't proper Halloween faire, neither are children's movies featuring friendly ghosts, littlest vampires or kindly witches. You do your children a disservice if you offer these films as the essense of Halloween. So check out the Campy Classics section for family-friendly scary stories.
